Keep the Mission in Mind | Isaiah Mast | August 14, 2022

Penn Jillette, famous magician and atheist has said:  "How much do you have to hate somebody to believe everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?

Are we willing to share this priceless gift we've been given?

Romans 1:5-6

  • Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake. And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.

Apostle: sent one, one who is sent, an official representative of another.

Jesus chose us to be His apostles.

We weren't called to receive God's grace and mercy for nothing...we need to share it and tell others the good news too!

Are we taking advantage of the grace of God by not extending and sharing the grace of God?

*To know the good you ought to do and not do it is a sin!

*Keep the mission in mind!  It's not about you! It's about others!

We will never be good enough on our own.  We need Jesus - He came to meet us where we are at - He makes us clean and worthy!

Isaiah 6:  "Here am I, send me!"

God doesn't want you to become perfect before you say YES to His mission.

You have been enabled for the task I have for you to do!  He died on the cross for your sins - He's given you what you need!

Sometimes we don't think we're meant to participate because we don't understand salvation.  God didn't just save you from Hell but He gave you the opportunity to have a relationship with HIm-

He's given us so much!  Such a priceless gift!

Amazing Grace and Love!!

We have been given a gift and a mission and a call to share that gift!

The cross should motivated us.  The cross will bring us to uncomfortable places.

The cross is pushing you to break through and break down walls!

It should cause us to move in a direction not for ourselves but for Him and for others!
