Refugees + Immigration:  A wide-open door for ministry...

Leviticus 19:33-34  "When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God."

When You Pray for Us:

Isaiah 6:1-8

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

2 Chronicles 26:15   In Jerusalem he made devices invented for use on the towers and on the corner defenses so that soldiers could shoot arrows and hurl large stones from the walls. His fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped until he became powerful."

We need to be aware of what's going on in the world around us and to...

  • Vote Biblical Values
  • Put our Trust in God

3 Facets that Isaiah saw of God:

  1. God was seated on a throne
  2. God was high and exalted
  3. The train of God's robe filled the temple

Revelation 4:1-6

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a] of God. Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back."

2 Chronicles 9:17-19 "Then the king made a great throne covered with ivory and overlaid with pure gold. 18 The throne had six steps, and a footstool of gold was attached to it. On both sides of the seat were armrests, with a lion standing beside each of them. 19 Twelve lions stood on the six steps, one at either end of each step. Nothing like it had ever been made for any other kingdom."

*Just imagine...the train of God's robe filled the ENTIRE temple!  How long and huge it must have been!

What the Seraphs did/What it meant:

  • Covered face = Humility
  • Covered feet = Personal Purity
  • Flying = Complete Surrender

"And they were calling to one another:  Holy, Holy Holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole Earth is full of His Glory"

God's core attribute is LOVE - the utter perfection of love...

(book suggestion:  "The Holiness of God" by R. C. Sproul)

Note:  When something is said/written 3x, take it as being extremely significant!  (As in "Holy, Holy, Holy"!)

*God is HOLY,  Set Apart; there is none like Him.  He is in a class all by Himself... HOLY!

James 3:9-12  "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water."

  • What is flowing out of your mouth?
  • Fresh Water or Salt Water??
