Mother's Day: "Mom School" - Pastor Ben Kellert

The task of mother's is teaching.
No one holds as much influence over children as their moms.
Matthew 20: 20-23 “Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him. 21 “What is it you want?” he asked. She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.” 22 “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” they answered. 23 Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.”
Lesson #1 - Approach Jesus. He is the Source.

Lesson #2 - Our Attitude toward Jesus
- Worship: to kiss the hand
Lesson #3 - The Appeal for Jesus
- What do you want?
- He is concerned about what concerns you
- God loves it when you are open, honest and transparent with Him
- When we come clean with God is when we are also most honest with ourselves
Lesson #4 - The Awareness about Jesus
Lesson #5 - The Acceptance of Jesus
- Accepting His words as Truth
- Allow Him to change you
Of all the things a mother can do, giving her life fully to Jesus will have the greatest impact on her children.
*Mom will instill in children a need to
- "Love the Lord,"
- "Walk with the Lord" and
- "Fulfill His Calling"
Results of Mom School -- Kids who:
- Seek to discover Jesus who mom loves and serves so well
- Find their purpose in life
- Who make good decisions
Moms keep on:
- Approaching Jesus on behalf of your children
- Having a right attitude towards Jesus
- Appealing to Jesus on behalf of your children
- Cultivating a greater awareness of Jesus
- Accepting whatever Jesus has for you and your children and family
