Choosing to give thanks to God is a conscious choice that we all need to make.

What will be our reaction to Thanksgiving this year?

Psalm 100 

"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

2     Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations."

Shout for Joy!

  • A grateful soul is an attractive soul... a thankful individual is a joy to be around.  
  • Don't keep gratitude to yourself, all bottled up inside... Shout for Joy!
  • Sing your praises loud!
  • "If youre happy and you know it, clap your hands, stomp your feet...shout Amen!!"

vs 3 God made us...

  • we belong to Him
  • that's great news
  • something to be grateful for, knowing that we belong to Him and we are the handiwork of God! (the Almighty Creator!!)

Jeremiah 1:5  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
    before you were born I set you apart;
    I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

  • He formed you and designed you
  • He gave you your personality and talents
  • you were created for greatness

Psalm 96:1-2  "Sing to the Lord a new song;
    sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
    proclaim his salvation day after day."
  • God desires joyful worshippers
  • those who are committted and willing to express themselves in worship

Thank you, Lord, for your love and faithfulness endures forever!  We can trust you to always be available to us!

Colossians 3:16  "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

  • Have an attitude of gratitude
  • "There's SO much to be Thankful for!"

Let's check our gratitude meter... may we reflect and give God praise for all that He has blessed us with!
