Note: It's ok for God to interrupt your/our plans...right?

Revelation 3:20  "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me."

  • This is from a letter to the Church
  • Jesus is knocking at the door of His Church - will we let Him in?
  • Why would Jesus be knocking outside the doors of His Church unless He hadn't been allowed in 
  • Of course He should be welcome
  • This is God's house - Nothing we have planned should be more important than Him and what He has planned!

Let's let Him and allow Him to interrupt our plans!

We should welcome, pursue, host and enjoy His presence more than anything else in life!

2 Kings 2:1-18

  • Passing the torch, leaving a legacy

A "Gift of Desperation"

  • Let me inherit a "double portion" of your spirit!
  • A bold request - Elisha was focused and knew nothing was more important

The same God who created Elisha for that time has created you for this time...for such a time as this!

Acts 1:8-11  Jesus was taken up into Heaven and will come back in the same way!

  • Be Ready and Keep watch! We don't know when He's coming but He will be coming back SOON!

Revelation 22:20  "He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus."
