Bethel 5 Year Strategic Plan - Part 1

Pastor Boniface Mgonja - Bethel Pentecostal Church - Barrhead, Alberta, Canada

This is a road map to show where we want to go with God's help...

Proverbs 24:3-4  "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge it's rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."

This is God's house - Where does He want us to be in 5 years from now?

  • We need a vision
  • We need wisdom

OUR STORY:

Bethel Pentecostal Church has been a part of the community since the 1920s. However, in the Summer of 1949, Rev W. Kowalski came to Barrhead to hold tent meetings. The church in Bloomsbury about 6 miles from Barrhead was then moved to its current location and Rev W. Kowalski took the pastorate. He served the church as Pastor from 1950-1955.

Since then, the church has gone through different phases of leadership, growth and development. With the growth in the church and shortage of educational facilities, the leadership of the church spearheaded the addition of the Family Life Center which was added to the existing church and completed in the fall of 2014. A community wide viewing was held on Nov. 15, 2014, and dedicated April 12, 2015.

In all these years, despite going through some hard times, trials and shakes, Bethel has strived to become a church that is rooted in the Word of God, fellowship and fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a church (the body of Christ), we are confident of this, that he who began a good work in this community through Bethel Pentecostal Church will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
