The Feet of Readiness

  1. Standing Firm
  2. Walking with Purpose
  3. Spreading the Gospel of Peace

Standing Firm

  1. Standing on the Solid Rock
  2. His Word is Our Foundation
  3. Standing together in the gospel

Matthew 7:25 "The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."

The strength of the foundation determines how well it will stand.

  • So, what is my foundation?
  • Choose Jesus Christ as your foundation.

Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

  • If I want a strong foundation and connection with Jesus, I need His word!

We cannot stand firm alone... we need others.

Phil. 1:27 "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit,[a] striving together as one for the faith of the gospel"

*If a tree stands alone, it is more likely to stand firm if it is within a forest... they are stronger together because their roots are connected and support eachother!*

Walk in Purpose -feet of readiness

  1. Focused destination
  2. Determined & Diligent
  3. Walking Together

Phil 3:14-15

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you."

Your labour is not in vain!

Don't get distracted!

  • What takes me away from my focus is often my own Ego!

Don't walk alone!

  • John 17:23 "I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."
  • The way we behave reflects the love of Christ.

Spread the Gospel of Peace-

  • Romans 10:13-15

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[a]

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!

1- Troubles will come

2- Point to the Author of Peace

3- Live a Life of Peace

John 16:33  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Don't present a false doctrine/gospel-

"Peace I leave with you, don't be afraid.."  Jesus is the author of Peace... "Peace, Be Still..."

Live a Life of Peace

  • "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength." - Phil. 4:13
  • Peace doesn't mean the absence of fear or trouble... it's what you feel in the middle of the storm when your Savior stands up and says, "Peace, be still..."

God is the invisible ally (against the invisible enemy), always there to protect us!

  • Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."
