Fourth Sunday of Advent: JOY | Shannon Reeve

Sunday, December 18th, 2022

God cares so much for us and helps us to find our joy again.

You can't really understand joy unless you've been through sorrow.

"Our JOY in the Storm"

Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 30:1-5 -

I will exalt you, Lord, for you rescued me.
You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.
Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
    and you restored my health.
You brought me up from the grave,[a] O Lord.
You kept me from falling into the pit of death.

Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones!
    Praise his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

He wants to give you back your joy - just listen and respond.

Nehemiah 8:10 - "...Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

He wants so much more for us -

Did you know the word JOY appears 165 times in the KJV bible and 182 times in the NIV!

Happiness comes from our circumstances but JOY comes from the LORD!
