"He Knows Your Name" - Pastor Ben Kellert

What a blessing to be able to gather in the house of the Lord.  What a blessing to join our voices together in one great choir to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  With our brothers and sisters, in one accord, in Spirit and in Truth.  To know that we have the full and undivided attention of the Creator of the Universe.  This puts me in a state of awe, and amazement and wonder.   

Psalm 139: 17-18  "How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!"

  • Think about this for a moment....
  • You might think God doesn't know you and that you are insignificant in this world...but not only are His thoughts toward you precious but they are innumerable.  

How does this look practically?

God knows your name...He sees you...He knows where you are!

  • Pastor Ben shared a story about feeling down and unappreciated and then getting a phone call from a respected Pastor who had been praying and God had put his name on his heart after having praying about a certain thing for about a year!  "Out of the blue, God gave me your name!"  
  • "God, you actually know my name?!"
  • There is something extraordinary that happens when we recognize that He knows our name and His thoughts toward us are precious and innumerable!
  • Pastor Ben shared a story from the book, "Draw the Circle" by Mark Batterson about a person about to commit suicide but praying to God for help and and saying they needed to speak with Ken Gobb and God gave the woman the number to a pay phone where Ken just happened to be walking past at the exact moment.  "God knows where I am!"
  • God is concerned about each of His children, He knows your name and where you are...He cares about you and the details of your life.

God knows where you are!  Not just physically...where your heart and mind are.

Psalm 139:1-10 "O Lord, you have examined my heart
    and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up.
    You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
3 You see me when I travel
    and when I rest at home.
    You know everything I do.
4 You know what I am going to say
    even before I say it, Lord.
5 You go before me and follow me.
    You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too great for me to understand!I can never escape from your Spirit!
    I can never get away from your presence!
8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;
    if I go down to the grave, you are there.
9 If I ride the wings of the morning,
    if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    and your strength will support me."

God knows your name and He knows where you are.  He sent His son to die for you!  You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of your Father in Heaven.  

You don't have to strive to be enough - you were born ENOUGH!

When that is submitted to the Father, you are undeniably unstoppable!

Thank you, Jesus!

Father, touch those who feel less than... you are loved and you are enough... the Father knows your name and where you are!
