"Peace...Even in the Darkness!" | Pastor Ben Kellert

Psalm 23
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever."
But God...
- But our Shepherd...
- And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age
- You are with me...
- Immanuel = God with us
He lavishes His marvelous love upon us...
1 - He provides us with the peace we need to move forward...
2 - The Shepherd provides us with Protection
- rod & staff - protection and comfort
3 - Transformation
- Living water
"Held"...
- Somehow He will work this out for His Glory and our good
Romans 8:35-39
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
2nd week of Advent - Peace - Jesus is the "Prince of Peace" - God is with us! We can have peace, even in the darkness.
