James 5:16  "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

We must prevail in Prayer...What is Prevailing Prayer?

  • Prayer which does not give up until it sees the blessing it seeks
  • Don't give up until you see a move of God!
  • Prevailing prayer affects the object being prayer for

So, HOW do we Prevail in Prayer??

1. Pray for a definite object of need

  • What do I want God to do? Be specific.

2. It must be in accordance with the will of God.

  • He reveals His will by His Providence and His Spirit
  • God understands your "hmmm" (groans/whispers)

3. Pray with submission to the will of God

4. Ensure that our prayers are offered with the right motives

  • unselfish, humble, seeking God's Glory and not our own

5. Persevere in Prayer

  • Don't give up!
  • Remain steadfast, trust His promises... He is faithful.  
  • 1 Thessalonias 5:24  "The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it."
