John 2:1-5 "On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” 4 “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
The Wedding at Cana:
- The wine ran out - a big faux pas at that time... this would bring shame and embarrassment.
- Mary thought Jesus would have the solution
- She pointed out the problem but didn't try to give Jesus a suggestion for how to fix it
- Not knowing how Jesus would work didn't stop her from asking for help
- We can learn from this: We might not know how Jesus will help us but we can still ask for help, trusting He knows what is best! He will act in His way, in His timing!
Mary: "Do whatever He tells you!"
- Obey! Trust & Obey, there's no other way!
- Do whatever He tells you, even if it seems silly!
When does the actual miracle take place??
- We don't know...it's a miracle!
- Sometimes we don't notice its happened until its happened...
- It doesn't matter how it took place, just Why it took place!
Psalm 139:13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
- You are a creation of God - Handmade from His heart!
- Made in His image
- He loves you and longs to work His miracles in and through your life today!
*The latter days of your life are more blessed than the former!
The Best is Yet to Come!
