About "Battle for Barrhead":
A a few years ago, we initiated this prayer movement that made it’s way around this great County and Town of Barrhead. I would like to personally thank each of the individuals who gave sacrificially of their time to travel to the various venues. It was indeed a heartwarming and inspiring time.
We prayed for various needs and have seen many of our prayers answered. One of the individuals we prayed for who had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer contacted us to let us know that the doctors have verified that he is now cancer free. Praise the Lord.
This year we are once again hitting the road with an even greater desire and increased faith knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think. We believe that God will not only show up but that He will show off.
I want to encourage you to come, bring your needs and desires and let’s believe together for the power of God to move and that signs and wonders will result as we trust Him.
Come believing and leave refreshed and having received.
The Need:
It doesn’t take very long to see that there are numerous and varied needs in our community and surrounding area. Now one of the responses could be to throw up our hands and say, “There’s nothing I can do.”
Though it may seem that way at first glance, I would like to remind you that God’s letter to us called the Bible has a different outlook on it.
For example:
- Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.”
- 1 John 4:4b “Because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
- Romans 8:37 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
- Romans 8:31b “If God is for us, who can be against us?"
- Zechariah 4:6b “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.”
- Ephesians 6:12-18 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
- Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
**This is the sure Word of God and on this we can stand. This is our sure foundation!!**
